Special Report : Madonna Gets The Touch Of Magic !!
The recent explosion in "tribute T-Shirts" has been attributed to the exploits and
imagination of non other than the "Queen of pop" herself, Madonna. Together with her
publicist in December last year, she paid a surprise visit to Lester George of the
Magic-Shirt outlet in Covent Garden, London. And together created some
"Special T -Shirts".
The whole thing was kept under strict secrecy as the shirts were to be featured in
various planned pre-christmas performances. The shirts were printed using the latest
"MagiCut" transfer papers developed, marketed and distributed by TheMagicTouch.
The transfers were produced using the "Gold & Silver" MagiCut paper that were cut
out using a plotter/cutter, then heat pressed directly onto the garments. The
individual words printed included "Kylie" "Britney" and also "Rocco". The shirt
featuring "Rocco" (her new son) was worn by Madonna at her Brixton Academy concert
in December and was seen by over 30 million people via web-cam broadcast worldwide.
Shop owner Lester George explains "since Madonna we have produced shirts for Robbie
Williams, Kylie Minogue, Nigella Lawson and a host of famous celebrities and personalities."
Lester has been receiving requests and orders from all over the world.
Since their introduction "Tribute" shirts have certainly been exposed to the nation as a
result of both national newspapers The Sun and The Mirror, featuring various celebrities
who have since jumped on the bandwagon and had their own shirts done.
MagiCut paper is available in 20 different colours , and is available from TheMagicTouch.
Once again this is a classic example of how the image transfer business can be a flexible
and comprehensive as you want the only qualification is that of imagination.
